Holland is the newest-feeling part of our service area. The old village core is still there, but most of what surrounds it went up from the 1970s onward — subdivisions, apartment communities, and the retail and office corridor running along Airport Highway and out toward Spring Meadows. That mix means Toledo Drywall does two quite different kinds of work here: fixing the predictable flaws of newer houses, and building out commercial space.

What Newer Houses Do
If your Holland house is somewhere between five and thirty years old, you've probably got at least one of these: a row of small round bumps down a hallway ceiling, a faint straight ridge where two sheets meet that only shows in the evening, or a hairline crack running diagonally off a door or window corner. All three are normal, none of them are structural, and all three come from the same source — framing lumber that kept drying and shrinking after the drywall went on, plus the ordinary seasonal movement every house in Northwest Ohio does.
They do need to be repaired properly rather than dabbed. A nail pop pushed back in and spackled will be back within a year; it has to be re-secured to the framing beside the old fastener and finished in three coats. Same with seam ridging — it wants to be feathered out wide, not built up narrow, or you trade a ridge for a bump. The good news is that these are quick, and a full house punch list is usually one visit.
Commercial Work on the Corridor
The Airport Highway and Spring Meadows corridor keeps us busy with commercial drywall: office suites, retail units, medical and professional space, and tenant fit-outs between leases. That work is mostly metal stud partitions and hung board on a deadline, and we're set up for it — including working evenings or weekends where a property manager needs the common areas clear during business hours.
If you're a property manager or a business owner planning a fit-out, the useful thing to know is that we frame and finish with the same crew. That removes the hand-off between trades that's usually where a fit-out schedule slips.
